Sony Confirm Bad Boys 3 & 4 (And An Unnecessary Jumanji Remake)

The nineties revival train isn't showing any signs of slowing down.

Sony Pictures has revealed its release schedule through to 2017, dropping a feast of titles including a remake of Jumanji, The Magnificent Seven and two new chapters in the Bad Boys franchise.

Bad Boys 3 has been given a release date of 17 February 2017, while Bad Boys 4 should arrive 3 July 2019. There's no official word on director or script writer, though Joe Carnahan is rumoured to be handling both (we would hazard a guess that there'll be a new story arching the two new titles?) nor whether Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are set to reprise their roles as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett.

Other notable titles to receive a firm release date included Ghostbusters, which will arrive in a little over a year's time on 15 September 2016.

Here are all the releases Sony has detailed - so grab your diary and start pencilling them in.
