There's a strong chance a 'Get Out' sequel could happen

But how would it go?

There's a strong chance a 'Get Out' sequel could happen
07 February 2018

Yeah, we know, old news, Get Out was one of the best films of last year, get with the programme etc., wise up. But seriously: if you haven’t seen it yet, what are you doing with your life? Fix that sharpish, son, because you’re missing out big time.

It’s been nominated for four Oscars, for Pete’s sake - it’s a pretty good film, mate. Sort it out.

But the thing about Get Out, in my ‘o’ is that it wrapped everything up nicely - it was a solid, complete film, and should remain that, standing alone, being its own singular thing. No need for a sequel, in my eyes. Leave it alone, if you will.

But by the looks of things, there’s the distinct possibility that a follow-up could be in the works. I know this because The Hollywood Reporter accosted Peele on the red carpet the other day, and quizzed him about the potential for any sequel-based funny business. To which he replied:

“I can tell you I will definitely, seriously consider it.

“I love that universe and I feel like there is more story to tell. I don’t know what it is now, but there are some loose ends.”

Here’s the full clip:

I’d much rather something different from Peele, but I don’t call the shots here, and to be perfectly ‘h’, I’ll watch goddamn anything he puts out - any new Peele is fine by me, in the long run. Maybe I should stop getting so hoity toity about the whole thing and just relax. Sheesh - such a drama queen.
