Eye-Opening New Trailer For Tomorrowland

Eye-Opening New Trailer For Tomorrowland

Eye-Opening New Trailer For Tomorrowland
10 March 2015

George Clooney’s going to Tomorrowland, via Disneyland.

“What if there was a place, a secret place, where nothing is impossible?” With schmaltzy lines such as these you’d almost believe the following trailer were an advertisement for the theme park. When, in fact, it’s like watching the best attractions you’ll never ride, and more.

Directed by Brad Bird, the ubiquitously-titled mega budget fantasy thriller sees Clooney play a cynical former boy genius with a secret. Britt Robertson plays an inquisitive bright spark teen who finds herself knocking on Clooney’s door to explain why a token keeps transporting her to another dimension.

Together, the pair embark on a mission in a rocketship bathtub (not as lame as it sounds) to find the other realm. Let’s just say it’s a lot more complex and dangerous a route than turning right at Space Mountain. Not that the danger ends there, as a sinister group intent on thwarting their adventure lay in wait.

Upping the intrigue are Hugh Laurie as an enigmatic scientist (naturally) and a screenplay by Lost scribe Damon Lindelof, which all bodes well.

And the best bit when the film comes out? The queues for the film should be an awful lot shorter than those at Disneyland.

Tomorrowland - A World Beyond lands in cinemas from 22 May
