Christian Bale reveals the secret behind his massive weight gain

We all know Christian Bale’s schtick: get thin, get fat, get stacked, get thin again, umm might get fat now, time to get hench, oops I’m fat again, then surprise! I’m thin once more, lads!

You know: fat in American Hustle, thin in The Machinist, stacked in American Psycho, thin in The Fighter, stacked in The Dark Knight, and now, fat again in Backseat, which follows Dick Cheney (played by Bale) and his role in the Bush administration following 9/11.

So why has he put on a load of weight again? Well, if we look at Dick Cheney:

Christian Bale reveals the secret behind his massive weight gain 1

He’s the one on the left in case you were wondering. Now watch this drive

He’s not exactly like Bale in The Dark Knight, or Bale in The Machinist, or Bale in American Psycho (Or is he? Fnarrrrr), so Bale has had to pile on the pounds to fit the image.

But how has he done it?

Well, like this:

“I’m just eating a lot of pies.”

So it’s pies basically. Eating pies. Eat pies, get fat. It’s very simple, and it’s also something I am very jealous of. If I could get paid millions of pounds to eat loads of pies every day, I would 100% do it. Mainly because I love pies, but I don’t get paid to eat them. In fact, I have to pay to eat them.

Anyway, Bale does get paid to eat them, and so that’s what he’s done. He’s also bleached his eyebrows, which coincidentally is another thing I would do for millions of pounds.

Backseat also stars Amy Adams as Lynne Cheney, Steve Carell as Donald Rumsfeld and Bill Pullman as Nelson Rockefeller, but their pie diets are as of yet unconfirmed.
