The new ‘Avengers’ trailer has already spawned two excellent memes

Have you seen the new trailer for Avengers: Infinity War? If not, rectify that immediately and don’t come back until you have.

Good, let’s continue. So, good trailer aside (great trailer aside), the mere fact that it is available on the internet means that it has birthed a number of memes - this is how it works nowadays. And two of them are good, I’m sure you’ll be pleased to hear - I wouldn’t expect you to get out of bed for anything less.

First off, you know the best bit in the trailer? The bit I’ve watched approximately 3,489 times and as a result, my friends and family are starting to worry about me? The one I had to show the doctor? This bit?

3,490 times, now. Anyway, that’s Captain America playing mercy with Thanos, the big strong bad guy of the film, who is looking mighty perplexed that a simple human is fending him off with his bare hands. But not only is he looking perplexed, he is also looking:

Well done everyone, you did a good meme. You made me laugh on this here ‘web’ and I thank you for it. Isn’t that what we’re all here for, after all?

So here’s another for ya. Not sure if you’d noticed, but there’s a distinct lack of Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye, played by a one Jeremy Renner. Not in the trailer, not on the poster:
