Get out (to the cinema)

Watch Jordan Peele's new film 'Get Out' for FREE with ShortList film club

Jordan Peele’s directorial debut Get Out is one of US cinema’s biggest success stories of the year. The much-hyped horror has already taken over $30m at the box office and, as we write this, has a perfect rating of 100% on the Rotten Tomatoes website.

As one half of the cult sketch-comedy duo Key & Peele, this director can of course tell a joke with the best of them, but the story he’s come up with here shows there’s a more serious side to him. Get Out is the simple tale of a young woman taking her boyfriend home to meet the parents... but in the most nightmarish way possible.

Chris (Daniel Kaluuya, Sicario) is nervous about his first weekend with his girlfriend Rose’s (Girls’ Allison Williams) parents. Initially everything seems fine and Chris is welcomed with open arms, but then he makes a series of strange discoveries that lead him down a horrific path he could never have imagined.

Either as a comment on US race relations or as a thriller to scare the bejesus out of you, Get Out is a must-watch. You can see it ahead of its UK release for free thanks to ShortList Film Club.

ShortList Film Club is offering you the chance to see the highly-anticipated horror Get Out before it hits UK cinemas.

Centred around a young guy meeting his girlfriend’s parents for the first time, the film stars Daniel Kaluuya, who you may recognise from Sicario, and Girls actress Allison Williams. Director Jordan Peele skillfully builds tension in the plot, and while it’s a clever satire on race relations, make no mistake – your heart will be pumping throughout.

To see it before anyone else, you can come along to our free preview screenings taking place at 6.30pm on Tuesday 14 March at the following VUE cinemas: Birmingham, Islington, Leeds Light, Manchester Lowry and London Piccadilly Circus.

To secure your tickets, just go to showfilmfirst.com and enter the code 567033. Hurry, as places are limited.
