The Ultimate Running Man Quiz

The Running Man was the book that proved - foremost to the man himself - that Stephen King was a brilliantly talented writer. Published under the pseudonym of Richard Bachman, it was every bit as successful as his previous work, despite being credited to an apparent newcomer.

Astonishingly, it was written in just a week, with King saying that the book was, "written by a young man who was angry, energetic, and infatuated with the art and the craft of writing."

Released in 1982, the book was loosely adapted into a film of the same name five years later, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as the lead character Ben Richards, and later into a video game, before finally acting as the inspiration for the hugely successful franchise The Hunger Games.
