Morrissey Reveals Cover & Release Date for His Debut Novel

We hope he took some notes from Shakespeare's Sister. But then he's spent enough time at the cemetry with Oscar Wilde on his side, so he should be OK.

Former Smiths frontman Morrissey has revealed details of his debut novel, which is to be titled List of the Lost. The cover image is below, with the book being released in paperback only in the UK, Ireland, Australia, India, New Zealand and South Africa.

The last time he mentioned the book, he said "I am midway through my novel. I have my hopes. The actuality is that radio stations will not play my music, and the majority of people have lost faith in the music industry, and it's generally assumed – quite rightly – that the Number One chart positions are 'bought' by the major labels, so there really is no passion left in pop or rock music, and I don't think people believe for an instant that the faces we constantly see on television and in magazines are remotely popular."

His self-titled autobiograpy was released in 2013 - controversially under the Penguin classics banner - and it hit the number one spot in the UK book charts, setting a first week sales record for a music autobiography.
