The most pretentious answer we've heard to "Where are you going for Christmas?" was easily, "Into my favourite book". If we'd rolled our eyes any harder it would have detached a retina.

But we know what that immensely tedious individual was alluding to - there's nothing quite like escaping into the pages of your favourite novel, losing yourself in a world already familiar to your memory.

To spur us on our way to literary escapism, terrysfabrics.co.uk have plotted out the homes of some of classic literature's most famous abodes.
