Robo-reindeer offer terrifying glimpse of future Christmas

Dasher, Dancer,Prancer, Vixen, Computer-controlled automated robotic attack dog, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen.

Wait, that's not right...

To spread a little Christmas joy (and fear of the inevitable robot uprising), Alphabet-owned Boston Dynamics have put together a seasonal greeting that sees three of their advanced BigDog robots don antlers, with one pulling a sleigh around their base of operations.

The BigDog's proposed uses include helping military personnel carry heavy payloads in the field, and over terrain that wheeled or tracked vehicles find unstable - or in this instance, pulling Christmas-themed carts in an effort to appear less sinister.

It doesn't work.
