One simple way to stop cold callers hassling you

phone.jpg

One handy phone number is all you need to cut down on bothersome cold callers.

Phone company TrueCall38 have offer a completely free service to take care of annoying PPI claim messages.

The majority of cold calls work by obtaining your number through that tricky "Can we share your details with third parties?" checkbox on online forms.

TrueCall38 works by offering a phone number – 0333 88 88 88 – for you to use when filling out any forms that ask for your number. (Although do remember some companies do need your number to verify order details and the like.)

Your cold caller will then hear the message: "TrueCall38 is handling my calls. I prefer not to be contacted by phone so please contact me via my email address."

The handy service comes by way of former Dragon’s Den contestant Steve Smith, and has been used to block nearly 18,000 spam calls.

Happy days. Unless of course you really have been mis-sold PPI and you’re still scrambling for assistance…
