Xbox and PS3 in R2-D2

r2d2-console.jpg

This is the droid you're looking for.

Forget about your PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, this is a console worth queuing up at midnight for. Housed inside this superb metre-high R2 unit is both an Xbox 360 and PS3, with separate disc trays emerging from the blue chest slots. As well as boasting a built-in surge protector, AV and HDMI leads, a 13-inch screen can be accessed by flipping up R2-D2's domed head.

Somehow there's also room for 500GB of internal storage and a custom built cooling system. Matching blue and white controllers are also included.

Now the £500 price tag might seem a bit steep, but then this is truly a one-of-a-kind consoles - only one exists (although you could haggle for the 8 console version). Hailing from Canada, the shipping price will set you back another £100. Given that a whole heap of excellent closing-curtain games are doing the rounds (Last of us, Saint's Row IV, GTA V), this is an investment you could still spend a lot of time with after everyone else picks up the new wave of consoles.
