Why you should never arm the citizens of Los Santos on GTA V

Thought the sporadic violence and plumes of fire raging across Baltimore last week was bad? The following footage takes that inner city anarchy and multiplies it by 1000.

Damascus? Baghdad? Mexico City? Try Los Santos, home to citizens from the Grand Theft Auto video game series and who, for this clip, have been given guns to see what would happen… the apocalypse, basically.

Modified by Trumple, it mirrors a cheat from an earlier GTA instalment, San Andreas, in which typing in ‘Crazy Peds’ would result in city wide ammo-fuelled melees. The latest pedestrians, on the other hand, are made of even more dangerous stuff, not giving it a second thought before mowing you down with a hulking minigun – and that’s just the old ladies.

It's making us feel a little bit better about our city commute.

If this doesn't sate your craving for civil unrest, you could always try one of the game's many hacks. Like this one, where you can fire cars out of your gun.
