Legendary. Genre-defining. Game-changing.

We're reluctant to use these terms at ShortList.com: such hyperbole does very little to help form opinions on video games. Yet, when addressing the 15-and-counting titles of the Final Fantasy series, they're terms that seem entirely appropriate. 

First arriving on the NES some 26 years ago, Final Fantasy has grown to become one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time. Improving and evolving with each iteration, striving to push boundaries in the shifting genre of role-playing games, 2015 is set to see a new Final Fantasy instalment touch down on the latest generation of consoles with an HD reworking of Final Fantasy Type-0 along with a taste of the frankly vast Final Fantasy XV

To celebrate the arrival of Type-0 HD and the demo of Final Fantasy XV that comes with it, we set about composing an appropriately epic quiz to test true fans of the series. From character quotes to weapons trivia, you're going to need to know all your Final Fantasy games if you stand a chance of success. 

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD arrives on 20 March on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Day one edition comes with the Final Fantasy XV demo
