If you have a fear of confined spaces, blood or being chased with a chainsaw, we recommend you don't watch the following trailer for The Evil Within. If those things are your idea of a good night in - what's wrong with you?

Fresh from the mind of Shinji Mikami, the godfather of the survival horror genre, The Evil Within is promising sleepless nights for all those who enter its twisted world.

Having been billed as a more brutal take on Mikami's blend of zombies and shotguns that popularised his Resident Evil, this new trailer gives some helpful insight into how you're going to fight Evil. From sticking to the shadows to turning booby traps against your undead foe, it doesn't look like it's going to be easy to survive the brutal world of Evil Within.

You'll have to wait until 14 October to find out if you've got what it takes.
