After some gorgeous teaser trailers released late last year, The Witcher 3 withdrew into the shadowy marshes from whence it came. All was quiet. Until now.

A stunning trailer has emerged ahead of this month's E3 to show off the RPG in all its glory. With a sprawling narrative penned by Polish fantasy author Andrzej Sapkowski and a world 30 times larger than the one we explored in The Witcher 2 (apparently that's 20 percent bigger than Skyrim), the third instalment of CD Projekt RED's RPG is set to be an absolute treat for fantasy fans.

Monsters, vast open worlds and a prophecy, The Witcher 3 looks set to be our new RPG obsession.

The Witcher 3 is due to arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on 24 February 2015
