'Whodunnits' normally follow a simple pattern: victim found dead, fatigued cop investigates, ends in climactic rain-soaked showdown with murderer. Murdered: Soul Suspect departs from this usual chain of events, literally.

In this murder mystery, gamers are cast as the recently-deceased detective Ronan O'Connor. While your rather gruesome demise is most unfortunate, your disembodied self gains some rather neat abilities that will help you stop the serial killer from adding to his tally- from moving through walls to possessing characters to read their memories and motives.

Released today for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, this is a must for anyone who wishes CSI had a few more spirits in it.
