No, the MET Office hasn't taken to advertising their services with arty narrative-driven forecasts - though we wish they would. rain (lower case required) is a gorgeous new digital download game for the PlayStation 3.

A platform puzzler not too dissimilar to the sombre tones of Limbo, rain is a twist on the classic story of "young boy chases after young girl" - except they're both invisible, and have to stick to puddles and drizzle to find each other. And there are some giant invisible monsters that want to eat you, causing you to hide in areas of dry cover. Like we said, it's a twist.

While it might look like a wet weekend in Bath, rain promises to be a lot more entertaining. The outlook is for soggy skies and hours in front of the TV.

rain is available to download on 10 October
