Illustrator knows nothing about Pokémon, draws them anyway

Even better than the real thing

Illustrator knows nothing about Pokémon, draws them anyway

For anyone venturing into the world of Pokémon GO ("everyone's playing it, you need to be on it") for the first time, it can be a daunting experience.

Why do all these creatures have such strange names? Why are there so many of them? It's an Azama-what? What does one of those look like?

So, presumably inspired by this feeling, and with precisely zero prior knowledge of Pokémon, the talented illustrator and Redditor netwoodle decided to try their hand at creating doodles of creatures based entirely on names submitted to them by fellow Redditors.

“Give me a name and I’ll doodle your Pokémon. It can be an actual Pokémon or one that exists only in your imagination. Honestly, I won’t know the difference,” they wrote.

The results are rather excellent.
