Tiny Recyclable Phone Batteries

recyclable_battery_00.jpg

It's the ultimate first world problem: the constant charging of various devices around the home and office.

And, while some mobile recharging solutions exist, designer Tsung Chih-Hsien has imagined a new external battery concept, which he has called Mini Power.

It would consist of a disposable biodegradable cardboard battery capsule, which would come in different sizes, according to the length of charge required, and could then be recycled after use. Primarily intended for that urgent top-up, it's won a Red Dot design concept award, which should, hopefully, help push it toward becoming a reality.
