This is how much all the stuff on your smartphone cost 30 years ago

Smartphones are smart - a brain-numbingly obvious statement, but have you ever considered just how smart your phone is? Or how 'dumb' previous generations of mobile phones were?

The minds of Webpage FX certainly have, leading them to create the following graphic that compares the cost of all the technology you would have bought 30 years ago that now fits snugly into your smartphone. Some aspects are obvious (compact cameras, voice records, video cameras) while others will make you reconsider the value of your handset (Encyclopaedia Britannica?).

It makes us wonder what we'll be walking around with by 2046.
