The ultimate father and son project

Ask most father/son teams to display their building skills and you’re unlikely to see anything more inspiring than a hastily-assembled Lego pirate ship.

The minds at Spadaconcept, however, boast a slightly more impressive intergenerational construction resume.

Having created exquisite vehicles for the likes of BMW, Zagato and Honda, Italian father and son duo Ercole and Paolo Spada opted to set up their own studio in which to produce their eye-popping blueprints.

Their latest commission, courtesy of luxury design house Aznom, is the Spada Codatronca Monza — a sleek supercar that wouldn’t look out of place in Bruce Wayne’s garage.

The Monza — named after the famous Italian race-track from which Aznom derives its reversible title — was unveiled at Monaco’s Top Marques show and packs an impressive 710bhp under its shapely bonnet.

There’s also a state-of-the-art data acquisition system nestled above the F1-style steering wheel.

Of course, the fact that the Monza is a convertible is both a blessing and a curse. Its lack of roof means envious pedestrians will take a good look at you driving it, but, since it’s capable of speeds of up to 208mph, you’ll almost certainly be picking insects out of your hair as they glance into the cockpit.
