The Self-Chilling Beer Glass

Short of putting an ice cube in your beer (the Devil’s work, make no mistake) there aren’t many other solutions to keeping your beer cold in the outdoor sun.

You could lug around a mini-fridge, sure. You might even want to resort to drinking at haste in a bid to avoid warm beer as you worship that giant fireball in the sky. But mostly it's added effort we don't need to be making.

However, thanks to these ground-breaking self-chilling glasses which turn beer cold within a few minutes, the good folk at The Fowndry could well have solved this issue for good.

The self-chilling glass is comprised of BPA-free plastic, proprietary cooling gel and an insulated rubber strip, helping to keep the amber liquid colder for longer. And how much for this piece of the future, you ask? Just £16.

Scientifically, there’s no reason why this wouldn’t work for other drinks. But that sounds like a waste of a beer glass to us.
