The Distraction-Free Keyboard

heming3hero.jpg

At first glance, this looks like another hipster retro typewriter; but this is far cleverer than that.

The Hemingwrite combines the simplicity of an old typewriter, with modern-day tech, meaning that you can get away from all of those distractions encountered when working on a computer - Twitter updates, Facebook notifications, emails - and just focus on writing. And, when you've created your era-defining novel, you can then sync the document with editors such as Evernote and Google Docs to tidy it up ready for publication.

It's got a Kindle-style E-Ink screen with optional backlight - so you can write day or night - a million-page memory and an astonishing six week battery life, meaning you can head off into a deserted cabin if you so desire. It promises the feel of an old, weighty keyboard and, all-round, just looks very good indeed.

It's still in development, so the expected price is still unknown, but head to the Hemingwrite website to sign up for updates.
