Forget the Apple Watch. In fact, forget every smartwatch, because they're all redundant. Stand back: the laser watch is here.
This amazing contraption is straight out of Q's workshop, and is the creation of hobbyist Patrick Priebe. The laser in the watch is 1,500 milliwatts in power - and is enough to pop balloons or, incredibly, light a candle, as well as burning anyone who gets in its way.
It's not the most practical of watches: due to the power required, the watch only lasts between 5 and 10 minutes - but short and sweet is better than long and boring in our book.
Currently it's a one-off, which took 40 hours to make; Patrick estimates that he'd charge $300 (£190) if he was to make more. Tim Cook needs to get on the phone ASAP and incorporate this into the Apple Watch v2.0.
