Invisible table tennis

tte.png

As youngsters, playing alone was often an unsatisfying and melancholic experience. There's nothing quite as depressing as the moment you switch the Scrabble board around to pretend to be your own opponent. Oh, did we just over-share?

But it looks like children of the future are one step closer to eradicating the need for any form of friendship ever again.

While the Wii has already transformed a game of tennis into a one-man jump-around in front of the TV, this latest innovation has managed to take the screen out of the equation and replace it with absolutely nothing.

The Happinet Hyper Ping Pong is a virtual game that doesn't need a ball, a table or an opponent. It utilises a motion sensor racquet that emits the sound of a ball being hit by the invisible opponent.

You start to swing your racquet to the rhythm of your opponent to enjoy the game.

The basic aim of the product is to destroy the need for company and bring around the end of humanity through the gradual breakdown of relationships and eventually reproduction. Okay, so we might have made that last bit up.

We want one for the office.
