The Ruler Watch

Here’s one watch to truly rule them all.

The humble ruler is now at the heart of a very modern watch from Japanese minimal design studio Nendo, who've placed thin lines of various lengths laid out on the crystal display, with hour markers extending to meet the numbers above.

It's the latest marvel in the firm’s recent Draftsmen01 series, which has already given us boat shoes and eyewear, essentially allowing people to read the time as they would measurements.

Available in brown, black and white, the bold timepieces are to be on sale at Japan’s Seibu department stores from 25 June. No word on price but we assume Yen will be involved.
