MULO's premium espadrilles

Once the footwear of peasants, the humble espadrille has come a long way in its 4,000 year history, with MULO giving the canvas shoe one of its most stylish overhauls to date.

Constructed with a British waxed cotton, linen braid surround and natural gum sole, MULO have sought out two British partnerships to give their shoes some head-turning flair.

The three bold prints above are the work of menswear brand Hentsch Man: IKAT, a reworking of an Aztec print, STATION and URBAN.

We're big fans of the following two pieces, Planes and Parrots. The work of British artist Pete Hawkins, you'll struggle to fit more personality onto a size 9 canvas.

All the styles are £85, available from the MULO online store.
