The Tuxedo

Modern-day Bond requires “Flexible pieces with fabrics that perform in the most demanding of conditions,” says Rake co-founder Clive Darby. We opted for a sleek jacket in an 80 per cent wool and 20 per cent cotton blend, with an incredibly tough 60 per cent wool and 40 per cent mohair mix in the trousers.

The Briefcase

This limited-edition attaché (exclusive to Harrods) is crafted from a (near) indestructible revolutionary polypropylene thermoplastic composite called Tegris and boasts a false bottom designed to keep your documents hidden, with a handcuff ring and ’tracer’ digits that are stamped on to a silver plate.

Grey jacket £1,680 by RAKE LOUNGE AT MATCHES; matchesfashion.com. Black trousers £475, white pleated shirt £295 and black bow tie £95 all by RAKE AT MATCHES; matchesfashion.com. Tegra-Lite Bulletproof attaché (exclusive to Harrods) £5,995 by TUMI AT HARRODS; 020-7730 1234. Pilot’s Watch Worldtimer £7,500 by IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN; newcavendishjewellers.com. The Shoe

The lightweight, Italian ‘Orwell’ lace-up shoe allows for style and practicality. ‘Orwell’ shoes £395 by MR HARE; 020 7495 4200. Wool tuxedo £1,200 by Z ZEGNA; zegna.com. Black ‘Tiago’ socks by FALKE (as before)

The Fragrance

Acqua di Parma’s Colonia Essenza is a true modern classic, as it blends refreshing citrus notes with white musk and vibrant woods. For the man who wears the fragrance and not the other way round – it’s not so brash as to dominate when you enter a room, but noticeable enough to create a lasting impression.

Colonia Essenza eau de cologne £105 for 180ml by ACQUA DI PARMA; 01932-233861. Ebony handmade shaving brush with synthetic hair £54.95 and ebony razor £54.95 both by MELOGY; melogy.com. Pilot’s Watch Worldtimer by IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN (as before). White pleated shirt by RAKE AT MATCHES (as before)
