Percival's Pantone-inspired Umami collection has us ready for autumn
01 August 2017

Pitching themselves as creating classic menswear pieces with a slight hint of classic ‘English eccentricity’,east London-born indie menswear label Percival are back with a new collection inspired to make the most of late-summer's sorta-warm-and-yet-also-chilly period with some lovely new over-shirts and jackets. I believe the official industry term for that bit is ‘pre-Fall’. How nice.

The Umami collection is a range that combines colour and texture for pieces that are somehow, at once, both understated and standout, an ethos that continues from previous offerings featured in their sadly-now-shuttered Soho store.

With eight custom-dyed pieces, inspired by specific Pantone colours in-keeping with their concept, they include over-shirts in clay and in mustard, an indigo over-shirt with a Kilim-inspired print, a buttery variant of their popular Vincent cord jacket, and an eye-catching Japanese bobble fleece in deep orange. We dig it.

Each item is limited to 35 pieces, with each one individually numbered, so you better act fast and support some good ol’-fashioned entrepreneurship.
