Return of the adidas Micropacer

Return of the adidas Micropacer

Return of the adidas Micropacer
14 April 2014

Back in 1984, having a miniature computer in your trainer was kind of a big deal. The adidas Micropacer stowed a tiny(ish) pace counter in its tongue, allowing you to keep an eye on your daily movements long before the arrival of the modern day fitness trackers.

It was so far ahead of its time that it even managed to gain a place in Computer History Museum in Boston. And now, they're back.

Rather than attempting a newfangled tech overhaul of the system, adidas Consortium have teamed up with trainer boutique Undefeated and Japenese-based designer Neighbourhood to give the classic Micropacer a fresh, gothic redesign.

In a bold black and white colourway, with subtle nods toward the parternship branding, with the same micropacer technology in the tongue. In case you're wondering, the laces hide away under the velcro tongue flaps. You can pick up a pair from the No6 London Store or the Undefeated site.
