Of course adidas is releasing some 24-karat gold trainers

What do you do when you want to update a classic? Dip it in gold, obviously. That’s right, adidas is releasing a 24-karat gold version of their classic Sam Smiths and Rod Laver trainers.

Entitled the 999 Noble Metals pack, the gold will feature on the tab and heel, with the rest of the shoe being in a clean white, because a completely gold shoe would just make you look like a Snoop Dogg video extra.

But wait, there’s more. This is only the first drop in a series of unique footwear reinvented with precious metals, but the next drop is on the hush hush. We're guessing they'll make you look like Robocop though.
