Musto Launches 1964 Collection

mustohero.png

To celebrate Skandia Team GBR’s Olympic success, Musto has teamed up with Olympic heroes (and that's what they are, blooming great heroic-shaped heroes, and don't let the football season make you forget that) Nick Dempsey, Luke Patience & Stuart Bithell to launch their Olympic-inspired AW2012 capsule collection.

Born on the water, the 1964 collection (named after the 1964 Tokyo games where founder Keith Musto won a silver medal) features classic archive garments which have been reinterpreted for the key AW2012 trends.

Available from Musto.com the collection combines functionality with fashion whilst paying homage to the practical garments traditionally worn by sailors. Using classic colours and modern detailing alongside ergonomic, comfort-led design the 1964 collection is technical and robust with natural fibres that ensure each garment retains its practicality. Key pieces in the 1964 collection include the Beaufort Pea Coat (below), Waxed Snug, Wax Deck Coat, Stern Roll Neck Pullover (Below left) and Carina Fair Isle Pullover (below right). Check them out...

Inspired by the classic fisherman pullover, the Stern Roll Neck is a winter essential, featuring a special blend of Cotton and Merino wool for warmth and comfort.
