Five wild nights out in the UK happening right now

DAY_03_35A_00024_03.jpg

When you live in a big city nights out are serious business. There are so many options to choose from that you want to make absolutely certain you’ve picked the best, and you want to look good doing it.

To celebrate Original Penguin’s new jungle-inspired Urban Safari collection we headed out on a mission to find the best the the UK’s cities has to offer..

zz

1. Garage Bar - Manchester

We love a good pop-up, and this car-themed Manchester bar is a very good one. Fill up on automobile-inspired cocktails and do your best to look cool sitting on a tyre (it’s a high level of difficulty). Catch it before it disappears at the end of April!

2. Whiskey Blending Workshop - London

As a whiskey connoisseur – we can tell – you’ve probably tasted plenty and thought, ‘Nice, but it could be improved’. Put your money where your mouth is and create your own blend at this highly educational evening. For better or worse, you’ll take home a bottle at the end of the night.

3. Secret Cinema: Moulin Rouge! – London

Secret Cinema is now a London institution, always guaranteed to turn its screenings of classic films into massive, immersive grown-up playgrounds. Its latest project is the raucous musical Moulin Rouge!  – so expect lots of can-can dancers and hedonism.

4. Cocktails in the City – Manchester

Why go to a city’s best bars when you can have them come to you? In Manchester’s Old Granada Studios, 24 of the city’s best cocktail bars gather to show off their best work. There will be tastings, blending workshops and an awful lot of fun.

5. Prohibition Bar – Newcastle

Take a trip back to the Thirties (without any of the gloom of impending war or lack of internet) at this decadent cabaret bar. Enjoy some jazz and the fact that it has one up on real speakeasies because you can buy booze without risk of arrest.
