Behind the scenes at MODE

Gran Canaria isn’t a bad place to escape to in the early days of February, especially given the rain and gales we were subjected to in the UK this year. And if you’re doing a fashion shoot celebrating the return of short shorts, then it’s certainly preferable to being stung by the icy-cold sea spray in Filey.

We know where you think this is going, by the way. You only have to have read this far and taken a glimpse at the pictures above to think that we’re smugly going to be telling you how ShortList jetted off in search of sun. But we didn’t. That particular privilege went to our new glossy biannual fashion magazine ShortList MODE.

These photographs are a small glimpse into the launch issue, which is hitting the streets on Tuesday 8 March. It’s your indispensable guide to spring/summer 2011 and is packed with style exclusives, the details of which we’re going to keep quiet about until you finally see the issue for yourself. Keep an eye out for our distributors — they’ll be on the streets a couple of days earlier than usual. And, as you’d expect, it’s completely free. That’s right, even though we splashed out on a helicopter.
