Dublin-based designer, John Rocha, presented a stellar collection of menswear this Monday, showing on the catwalk during London Fashion Week. The designer, who also opened the doors of his first ever flagship store, on the same day as the show, previewed to press and buyers his spring 2008 menswear line, a good six months ahead of when the highly covetable clothes will be hitting the stores. Drawing on inspiration from his homeland, the designer, who is also applauded for his high-street collaborations with Debenhams, presented a sophisticated collection of one button tailored pieces in shale grey, a soft suede trench coat and has decreed the new fashionable hem length for trousers will finish mid-calf. The collection is only Rocha’s second mainline menswear offering, following an absence from the menswear circuit of some 8 years. His first collection since reinstating menswear can now be seen at the new boutique (a five-storey townhouse that also includes a conservatory and library), situated at 15 Dover Street, W1, tel; 020-7495 2233
