We’re slap bang in the middle of this year’s World Series of Poker, with players having shared millions of pounds between them over the last few weeks.

English players Chris Moorman and Chris Brammer both won their first World Series bracelets this year, each taking home about $500,000, so now’s as good a time as any to see if you can talk a good poker game.

First things first, you probably want to make sure you know the rules - it’s better to get that sorted before there’s any money on the line.

With that in mind, we’re going to show you five Texas Hold’em boards and two hands. All you have to do is figure out which is the winner. Remember, to win in Texas Hold’Em you need to make the best five-card hand, and the rankings - in ascending order - are as follows:

High card

  • One pair
  • Two pair
  • Three of a kind
  • Straight (five cards in sequence)
  • Flush (five cards of the same suit)
  • Full house (three of a kind plus a pair)
  • Four of a kind
  • Straight flush

Where both players have the same type of hand, the one with higher cards is the winner. For example, a pair of sevens beats a pair of sixes, or three queens beats three nines. You’ve got all the info - now let’s see if you can pick the winners.
