What Using Facebook Would Have Been Like In 1995

Cast your mind back to the mid-nineties for a second. Now take a second to imagine what it might have been like if Facebook was popular…
Forget checking it on your massive brick of a mobile phone – most of us didn’t even have Snake then. Don’t expect it to flash up on your computer that quickly, either.
You’ve the ear-shrilling dialup tone to wait on first, never mind that infuriatingly wait it out for the pages to load up. Well now these limitations have been visualised by comedian Brent Weinbach, who’s spoofed the grainy, infomercials of that hazy and clumsily dressed era to show exactly how Mark Zuckerberg’s company may have advertised its limited service to its billions of potential users back in 1995.
Watch the superb clip in all its low-tech glory below. Heaven knows how a poke must have felt back then.
