Tour of Earth from the ISS

Admit it. You've spent the better part of an hour on Google Earth looking at Area 51, stalking your old address and trying to spot a murder in progress. Well the crew of the International Space Station has just posted a video that makes a mockery of all your hard searching.

From their out-of-atmosphere vantage point in the Cupola (a viewing module covered in windows) aboard the ISS, Expedition 38 crew members Mike Hopkins and Rick Mastracchio have treated us all to a tour of their orbital path over the Earth. It's like the first five minutes of Gravity, but without the sensation of impending dread.

Italy, Greece and several cities of the USA all pass beneath the pair, who do an exemplary job of not losing their cool and declaring how amazing their jobs are or how awesome space is. But their jobs are amazing, and space is awesome.

If you're afraid of heights or wide open spaces, best give this one a miss.
