There’s a Sharknado-level of sharks swimming off the cost of Florida

Thousands.

Tens of thousands of sharks.

And that's just within splashing distance of Florida's Palm Beach.

While this might look like an elaborate shoot for Sharknado 4: How The Hell Did We Make Another?, it's genuine footage captured by Dr Stephen Kajiura associate professor at Florida Atlantic University’s Department of Biological Sciences.

The sharks in question aren't viscous man eaters, but black tip sharks on migration - so they don't pose a threat to any beach goers who might wade into shallow waters.

Still, it would take a braver swimmer than us to head into the surf for a closer investigation. What if a few of them have become hungry on their migratory swim and fancy a quick bite to eat?
