The superb Walking Dead LEGO short

Do you miss the unsettling mumble of the ravenous undead? Is your life lacking the rugged charms of a brooding Red Neck?

In short, are you also gutted The Walking Dead is finished?

Then you've come to the right place. Well, at least until Fear the Walking Dead arrives later this year to itch your zombie scratch.

This block-busting short is the work of LEGO animator extraordinaire Monsieur Caron - a three-minute adventure that follows Daryl Dixon and an ill-advised trek into the forest. It's the mini Walking Dead adventure that Daryl always deserved.

Using more than 250,000 bricks (including some custom models from Citizen Brick) and 3,000 individual photos (filmed at a rate of 15 images per second), this is the sort of LEGO creativity that makes our instruction-led Death Star creations feel deeply juvenile.

You can see more of Monsieur Caron's amazing LEGO shorts over on his YouTube channel
