Should you be one of those enviably-sensible types that manages to fit in a 'healthy' amount of pillow time, Carey Spies' chart shows you just what your body gets up to during your Z's, and what the rest of us are missing out on.

From fluctuations in body temperature (in Fahrenheit - sorry) to the average physiological process (we've no idea what a Delta brainwave does, but it sounds pretty important), our unconscious bodies manage to squeeze a lot in without us.

We're beginning to wonder if we've ever hit Stage 5...
