The most valuable car collection ever auctioned is stunning

Before you press on into the metallic glory of the following gallery, you're going to want to consider hiding your wallet. That, or set about planning the most elaborate heist since the Hatton Gardens.

This collection of motoring excellence is "The Pinnacle Portfolio" - the most valuable single collection of motor cars ever presented at auction. Every single one of these cars is owned by one single anoynmous individual. (We're looking at you, Sepp)

Set to be auctioned by RM Sotheby's on 13 August at California's Monterey 2015 Classic Car Auctions, the collection of around 30 cars includes an Enzo Ferrari given to the late Pope John Paul II as a gift by the Italian motor company, and one of only five Le Mans-spec McLaren F1 supercars ever made. The single-sourced collection, which covers some 57 years of motoring history, could make $65 million (£43m) when the final hammer falls.

If ever there were an opportunity to stage a real-life Gone in 60 Seconds robbery, this would be it. You can see the full collection here.
