The luxury vending machine

Call us simpletons but we still get a great deal of enjoyment out of using a vending machine. Admittedly, most of this comes from the fact that we're always hoping for two Ribenas to accidentally fall out for the price of one.

We can safely assume that this isn't going to happen with this one.

The Semi Automatic is an upmarket vending machine that's been curated by The Design Museum for St Martins Lane hotel. High-end products from The Design Museum shop will be available for guests to purchase throughout September and October, 24 hours a day.

Items include a Gents Mondaine watch (£139), an Anglepoise lamp(£185), a Veja Leather Wallet (£65) and, most intriguingly, a set of Type Trumps (£10.25) which uses fonts in a Top Trumps style game.

Unlike most vending machines, this one accepts credit cards...
