The Gold Iron Man Figure

iRON3.png

Iron is overrated. Gold is where it’s at for today’s Avenger.

Or at least that’s the rationale behind this striking action figure, taking Tony Stark’s alter ego and decking him out in a golden suit of armour.

For this you can thank the bods at Japanese toymaker Figama, essentially the Stark Industries of nerdish collectables. The brand’s latest effort is 18cm tall, due for release in July and will set you back around £55 - just expect to pay extra if you’re ordering from outside Japan.

Naturally, the Mk XXI 'Midas' suit comes with ‘pop out’ wrist-mounted rocket launchers and extra 'flappy' bits, because when you pay top dollar you want a few mod-cons.

And best of all, it doesn't have one of those crumby voice boxes. Silence really is golden.
