The dynamite alarm clock

alarmclock.png

In our frustratingly long list of problems, there are two unrelated issues that might soon be resolved. The first is that we still have massive trouble getting up in the morning, despite our persistent mobile phone alarm. The second is that we've always wanted to defuse a bomb but have never even come close.

The Defusable clock resembles an old-school bomb that might have cropped up in an early 80s action movie or perhaps Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. It's actually a high(ish) stakes alarm clock that threatens to blow at a given time each morning.

While the bomb threatens to explode your bedroom into small pieces, you're given the Bruce Willis task of defusing it. Red wire? Green wire? White wire? All of them?

Bringing a combination of both panic and dream-fulfilment to early mornings, creator Michael Krumpus of Nootropic Design is our favourite person of the day, maybe even week.

The alarm clock will be available to buy from next month and you can click here to keep informed on when it's available.

Oh and here's a slightly more updated model...
