The Burning House

IMG_5613.jpeg

It's a classic long car journey question: if your house was burning down, what would you frantically haul out?

Now, young children and animals are a given (we hope) but the choices people make over their material possessions reveal a massive amount.

A new Tumblr has been launched which gives folk the chance to showcase what they'd pull out of the wreckage.

It's an interesting mix of belongings, from a guitar to a shuttlecock to a La Creuset pan. Thanks to the advent of Facebook, salvaging photos is now less of an obvious answer.

Personally, we'd go for our VHS copy of Gremlins, that bottle of champagne we've been saving for five years and that bucket full of pennies which must be worth at least a tenner by now.
