The bear that walks like a sad human

bear2.jpg

We've got some good puns loaded into the chamber for this one. Grin and bear them, if you can.

But first, the serious bit: this Asiatic black bear, aka moon bear, lives in a rescue centre. He was saved from a "bile farm" in China where he was kept in very cramped conditions (like these).

The bear was only fed a small amount of food; just enough to keep him alive so that his bile could be extracted. (The bile is used by some Chinese doctors to treat ailments including piles.)

Because he doesn't weigh as much as he should, his spine is able to support his malnourished body.

*JOKES INCOMING*

So... rather than going everywhere on all fours, this guy has taken to waddling about on his (Teddy Rux)pins.

Now, what should we call him? Shimmie The Pooh?
