The 4 stars who 'saved the world'

Earth.jpg

James Blunt recently claimed he "prevented World War 3" - can you identify these four other famous heroes?

1. A singer and former US Marine who drove a Hummer through an Iraqi minefield during the first Gulf War. Whether he denied it by saying, "It wasn't me" isn't known.

2. A Hollywood legend who completed 20 official and several unofficial bombing missions in the Second World War and served the USAF for 27 years, earning his wings as a pilot, first class.

3. This boxing world champion and paratrooper was wounded fighting for his country, but also sheltered two Jewish children in his house during the Nazi purge of Berlin.

4. After being hit by six rounds from a Bren gun (one to the chest being stopped by a cigarette case, one removing a finger) during the Normandy landings, he might've said he could nae take any more.
