Warning: if you’ve plans on going down to the beach and getting your feet wet anytime soon then don’t click on the video below.
Filmed by cameraman Donnie Griggs in North Carolina’s Cape Lookout National Seashore recently, the video shows a feeding frenzy of grown sharks in shallow water. Over 100 sharks were spotted attacking a school of blue fish.
With the sharks flailing about wildly in their masses, the footage stands as enough reason to make any right-thinking film fan recall the famed Jaws tagline of ‘Don’t go into the water’.
All the same, the man who posted the video on Facebook and Youtube, Brian Recker, has been quick to point out that the beach is actually a safe place for people to go swimming in, saying “the presence of these sharks and large schools of fish is a sign of a very healthy ecosystem.”
We believe you, Brian - but if it’s all the same we’ll be on the sun-lounger.
